Are you a creative digital storyteller passionate about news, social media, and audience engagement? Dabanga - Radio TV Online is looking for a Website & Social Media Design and Content Creator & Manager to enhance our online presence and connect our news and life-saving information with wider audiences.

Dabanga – Radio TV Online is an independent Sudanese news and information broadcaster and publisher. Founded in 2008 during the Darfur crisis, Dabanga operates as an exiled media house serving all regions of Sudan. With a unique ability to connect with marginalised and hard-to-reach communities, Dabanga delivers trusted news through shortwave radio, satellite television, and online platforms. Amid Sudan's ongoing crisis, Dabanga is committed to educating, informing, and holding power to account.
 

Scope of work

  • Develop and execute innovative strategies for website and social media content creation to grow and engage our audience.

  • Design and implement creative ways of using social media platforms to distribute Dabanga’s news and humanitarian content effectively. 

  • Create compelling multimedia content (graphics, videos, articles, and interactive features) tailored to diverse platforms.

  • Monitor social media trends, analytics, and audience feedback to refine strategies and improve engagement. 

  • Work closely with journalists and editors to ensure impactful digital storytelling aligned with Dabanga’s mission. 

  • Maintain and update Dabanga’s website to optimize user experience and accessibility. 

  • Manage and schedule content across multiple social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). 

  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in digital media to enhance Dabanga’s online reach. 

  • Full-time or part-time contractor - remote / flexible working.
     

Required qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital design.

  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to present complex information in engaging and accessible ways.

  • Proficiency in design and editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut, etc.).

  • Required experience in website management (WordPress, HTML, SEO knowledge).

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.

  • A passion for news, media, and humanitarian issues.

  • Fluency in Arabic, and good knowledge of English.
